Women Praying for Christ Ministry is a international Christian Sisterhood and Support Group that emphasizes intercessory prayer. Women Praying for Christ Ministry understands the power in prayer. Women Praying for Christ Ministry is nondenominational. However, most members are active in a Christ-centered Church.

Women Praying for Christ Ministries intention IS NOT to take the place of any church prayer team, but instead to be an addition to those prayer chains by increasing prayer support for your needs! There's power in prayer and strength in numbers!

PURPOSE, HISTORY AND BACKGROUND : Women Praying for Christ Ministry, Inc. (WPFC) is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational and scientific purposes as a nonprofit organization. The general purpose of this corporation is to provide outreach, education, programs and services to individuals and families that are seeking to improve the quality of their lives through personal growth and the strengthening of their faith. To this end, the corporation shall exist to assist, educate and empower people with self-improvement programs, personal growth, spiritual development and other human services needs. All funds, whether income or principal, and whether acquired by gift or contribution or otherwise, shall be devoted to said purposes. WPFC was formally established in June 2004 in response to a significant need for additional programs and services for individuals and families that were in need of counseling, prayer and personal improvement. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS : WPFC activities include the provision of services and programs that will assist individuals and families through activities that promote healthy marriages, higher education opportunities, positive life skills, economic empowerment, responsible character and lifestyles based on faith-based values. We envision all persons growing with attitudes and dreams of becoming confident and successful citizens positively affecting the quality of life. Our belief is if they are given the proper tools and resources they can fulfill their destiny. WPFC envisions itself as a partner with the participants we will serve as we help them to walk into a brighter future.

We launched an online prayer ministry in July 2004. We provide classes and programs designed for positive development and growth. Our plan is to provide services to persons in the Dallas , Texas metropolitan area as a primary target population, but with the unlimited reach of the internet, we anticipate services will be available to anyone that has access to an online computer. The services will be mostly volunteer-driven, but if we are successful in our funding activities and proposals, we hope to have a small staff in place during 2007-2008. The activities will be targeted to persons in need and will NOT have any mandatory fees connected when persons in need have no ability to pay. To meet our basic expenses, we will engage a modest sliding scale fee schedule for some classes and services, when no grant funds are available.
